HGFC (high grade future century)

Could you imagine this thing in real life, a Gundam riding a robo unicorn, sounds like Knight in Shining armor? Fuunsaiki joins Master Gundam to his fight in 1/144 High Grade Future Century (HGFC) Kit.

Details are definitely good for an HGFC kit. It seems that are no weight issues and the Master Gundam can really ride its Fuunsaiki.

ENTRY GRADE

The new name for No Grade has come. They are made in China but still from Bandai. Size is 1/144. Don't expect too much on this kit because it's pretty much a No Grade Kit but higher detail when it comes to proportions and design of panel lines.

Articulations are not really present in this kit. They are really stiff and just made to be displayed standing. It only has 3 colors which is red, blue and white. You need to paint it yourself to make it more beautiful and presentable. I used some dry transfer Decals that I bought from bookstore. To color them, I only used basic Gundam Markers.

Other Views and Attachment Compatibility

As you can see, there is missing part on the hip part. You can also attach some HG 00 Gundam series' attachment to it like Raiser. Seven Sword attachments are not compatible.

The HG Aile Strike attachment is also compatible with it.

I say, these are good starter kits for you. You can build it in 5 minutes and color it in 2-4 hours depending on your skills.

SMOOTH THE EDGES

This part will tell you how to remove those annoying excess plastic when you try to pull the part of the Gundam out from the runner.

NOTE: all ages under 13 should ask permission to an adult or to their parents before using hobby knife.

you will need a hobby knife to remove that peg

Place the knife on the safe spot while concentrating on the excess plastic, then push your knife down until you remove the peg. You can use sand paper after you cut the excess out from the part of the Gundam.

PANEL LINING

Panel lines are seam lines that appears when two set of armor joins together. In Gundams, panel lines are already engraved to show an illusion that that is made up of combined metal parts.

To make these lines appear,you will need a black Gundam Marker.

To make this line appear, all you have to do is to apply a black or gray gundam marker.

When you finished applying the marker on the crease take a cloth, eraser or cotton swab to wipe out the excess ink that leaked out from the panel line.

Thats it! you're all set, just do it again on the other panel lines that you see on the model.

TOOLS NEEDED TO ADD DETAILS TO YOUR GUNDAM

Are you wondering how you can make your Gundam model kit more appealing? It's not a problem, just by applying Gundam markers on it, you can make your kits as beautiful as you can, and remember that your imagination is your only limitation. Lets get started!

METHOD 1

First choose the color that you want to apply on your Kit.

Shake your marker and then press the tip of it on hard surface until the ink comes out. When you see the ink is coming out of the tube, you can now start applying it to your gundam.

It is more effective if you have sanded the part that you are coloring before applying the Gundam Marker, becuase some of Gundam Markers doesn't adhere to the surface instantly without applying some texture or primer on it.

METHOD 2

Gundam Marker is like paint, you can use brush on the leaked ink and then apply it on your kit.

First, choose the color that you want to apply on your kit (as always).

Shake it and then press until the ink leaks on the container that you have.
NOTE: you must have a water proof basin or any basin that can hold the ink without absorbing it. You can use plastic or stainless metal to hold the ink.

check if the ink came out from the marker

get your brush and take some ink then apply
it on your Gundam

First Grade (FG) the FG letters doesn't show on the box, no grades sizes of 1/144 to 1/100: first level modeling, 5 minutes to one hour of building time, good for starters. Cost around $5-$35

Abyss Gundam from Gundam Seed Destiny 1/144

High Grade (HG) 1/144 to 1/100 : second level modelers, 3-5 hours of building time. Cost around $10-$350+

Zaku II FZ from HGUC 1/144

Real Grade (RG) excitement embodied 1/144: the wow kit, too much detail for a 1/144 scale also a good kit for starters! 4-6 hours of building time. Cost around $25-40

RX-78-2 Gundam or Gundam Gundam 1/144

Master Grade (MG) 1/100: level 4 modeler, requires time to build from 6-10 hours. lots of details, good sizes and most of the original colors are already supplied for you. Cost around $40-$150

Strike Freedom Gundam from Gundam Seed Destiny (custom DRAGOON by Kemn myself)

Perfect Grade (PG) 1/60: ok this is it, the big daddy, well not really, if it is your first gundam. this Kit is not for you, it requires a lot of time to build this huge robot. lots of details. minimum building time is 15 hours. lights are applicable for this kit to add more detail. costs around $150-$400 depends on the Gundam.
